About us

The idea of the EMES Junior Experts’ Blog (EJEB) originated in the EMES Ph.D. Students Network and counts with the support of the EMES International Research Network.

We are a community of Ph.D. students around the world researching in Social Economy, Social Enterprise and other related topics. A description of all of us can be found in the next link: Members of the EMES Ph.D. Student Network

The coordination of EJEB is now ensured by the Ph.D.s Benedetta De Pieri (Ph.D. researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University) and Eduardo Pereira (Ph.D. at Catholic University of Lille), as well as by Rocío Nogales, from the EMES Coordination Unit.

EMES International Research Network _________________________________________________

The EMES International Research Network (EMES) is a network of research centers with a long track record. It is considered as the leading European network on social economy and social enterprise. EMES has a strong global position and cooperates with centers of excellence in Asia, North America, Latin America and Africa. Its goal is threefold:

• to build a European corpus of theoretical and empirical knowledge around social enterprise, social entrepreneurship, social economy, solidarity economy, social innovation, and the third sector;

• to provide critical evidence for the evolution of an integrated Europe with a significant impact of social enterprise and active citizenship;

• to position EMES globally and increase the cooperation with centers of excellence on all continents.
